A quick and easy, very tasty version of the teriyaki steak-on-a-stick that you get from a Chinese restaurant. It's great as an appetizer or even as finger food at a football watching party!

- 1-1/2 pounds beef rib eye steak, sliced 3/8 inch thick
- Marinade:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp minced fresh gingerroot
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1/2 cup mashed papaya
- 2 tsp salad oil
- 1 tsp minced fresh gingerroot
- 1 cup julienned carrots
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
- 1/2 onion thinly sliced
- 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup thinly sliced cabbage
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Place meat with marinade in a container, and marinate overnight.
- Warm oil in a wok at medium-high heat, add ginger and cook for 1 minute. Add carrots, celery, onion, green pepper, and cabbage, and stir-fry until al dente.
- Remove rib eye steak from marinate; allow to drip-drain. Lay meat on a flat surface, and scoop stir-fried vegetables into the center of the steak. Add oyster sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Roll the vegetables in the beef, and secure wit toothpicks. Broil or grill until done to your preference. Serve hot.
