A go to recipe for that authentic taste of pulehu ribs. Get beefy thick short ribs if possible. This recipe works well with chicken, pork ribs, boneless pork or nay type of beef ribs.

- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3-1/2 tbsp Hawaiian or rock salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 pounds beef short ribs, sliced 1/2 inch thick

- Mix garlic, salt, brown sugar, canola oil, and sesame oil. Rib mixture on meat, and let stand for 1/2 hour before grilling. Grill covered (pulehu) over medium heat until done to your preference.
