If you're on Maui, the coastline from Lahaina to Kaanapali boasts some of the best whale watching in the world, and the same goes for Molokaii and Lanaii. On the island of Oahu, take a casual hike up the Makapuu Lighthouse trail for the ideal whale-counting spot. Or, venture to the Kohala Coast of Hawaii, the Big Island, and if you are one of the lucky few, you just might have whales before you, and snow-capped Maunakea at your back.
