The most common question we're asked is "What should I do in Hawaii?"
There are so many wonderful things to see and do, but here are comments from the 'ohana themselves of things they'd suggest:
Paradise Cove is a nice luau. There are lots of activities to do before the dancing and eating begin, so you'll be entertained for sure. You must go to Pearl Harbor! It is quite an impressive tour. Be sure to get there early so you can take one of the first tours. The boats fill up fast and you will be assigned a time to watch the mandatory video and then take a boat out to the monument over the USS Arizona. If you arrive later than 9 am, you could very well spend your entire day wandering around before you get to take your tour.
Some other must-dos:
* Hike up Diamond Head (be sure to take at least one bottle of water per person in a small backpack)
* Catamaran ride off Waikiki Beach -- the catamarans pull right up onto the sand and take a one hour tour every 90 minutes or so. Lots of fun and fairly inexpensive...about $20 per person.
* Have a cocktail at sunset at the Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian (the pink hotel on Waikiki Beach)
* Check out the Pali lookout
* Make sure to take some time just to enjoy relaxing on the beach or at the pool at your hotel. So many people rush around trying to see everything and end up exhausted after their vacation! Shop, eat, sunbathe (yes, even in February!) and just enjoy.
Of course we suggest you dress like a local, and at KTC Hawaiian you'll find everything you need Hawaiian -- clothing, tiki decor, coffee, and more. Visit us online at http://shop.kapotrading.com -- we deliver Hawaii to you!
We'd love to hear from you. Please comment and share what you suggest as the best things to do in Hawaii. Mahalo!
