- 2 tsp rock salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp minced fresh gingerroot
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Pepper to taste
- 1-1/2 pounds tri-tip steak

- In mixing bowl, combine rock salt, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and pepper to taste. Add steak. Cover, and marinate for 1 hour. Place on a medium-flame grill with kiawe or mesquite wood. Cook to your preference, rare to well done.
